January 2011 Ladies' Luncheon

Eleven ladies enjoyed a delightful luncheon at Olexa's in Mountain Brook Village today. Jane Beasley brought the cutest door prize won by Bonnie Hicks. It was a high heel shoe that is a cake cutter. After a delicious meal followed by yummy desserts we had a fun time fellowshipping around the table. We were so happy Brenda Bryant, Carol Rogers, and Bonnie were able to sneak away from work. Dianne Bonner, Gleeda Alvis, and Carolyn Horne did some shopping afterwards. Sheila Lowery, Jane Zobrosky, Nancy Dorr, and Ann Havicus headed back to Trussville afterwards and Jane Beasley left to visit a friend in UAB hospital. We hope more will join us next month on Friday, February 18, at La Dolce Vita on Highway 31 in the lot of Hobby Lobby.

A Lifestyle of Humility!

Scriptures from Phillipians and Luke.

In seeking to follow the road less traveled that is the Christian life, we should follow Jesus' example of humility. This example was set at The Last Supper when Jesus humbled himself as a slave and washed the Disciple's feet. He then told them if He, their Lord, would do this they should treat each other in the same manner. That's our command and our goal.
