August Ladies' Luncheon

Lunch followed by a tour of the lovely historical Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens was enjoyed by eleven of our ladies today. This was arranged by Nancy Dorr and we thank her very much for doing it! After lunch in a large dining room that was a part of the original garage that housed one of the first motorized vehicles in town and overlooked the side gardens, we were given a guided tour of the main home. Dianne Bonner was allowed to play a pump organ that was on display and we all enjoyed listening and watching her. Arlington was home to many well-to-do families after it was constructed somewhere after 1842. The actual date is unknown. It became the property of The City of Birmingham in 1953. We hope you ladies will plan to join us on Wednesday, September 21st when we will be going to Lovoy's in SOHO.
